This quick prototype mostly follows the traditional wallet layout, being that it is a fold-out with several compartments for cards and one with a film to slide in an ID to see (labeled here as the blue piece). The added elements are the pocket within the main open-out (where bills would be placed) for Jin's lottery tickets, compartments with a fold-down flap to keep cards secure, and velcro on the sides to keep everything in place.
This is a good design for this brief exercise, very practical. The velcro is a nice addition.
ReplyDeleteGreat storyboarding characterizations and sketching technique in your D-Thinking workbook. Would have been more of an "out-of-the-box" challenge to try and totally re-think the conventional wallet motif. In fact "DON'T" Think of the wallet, try to achieve for your partner a non-wallet solution - got to get "Radical" to rock Your World! - well at least while its still YOUR ideas and not someone who is paying you to think!
ReplyDeleteI love your design Michelle, it has all the parts that I need to store and organize my stuff, great work for this short amount of time!!
