I was born and raised in San Francisco, the youngest in a family of four girls. I have not stopped drawing since I've started at an early age so it was natural that I would be in this field. My major is within Visual Communications with a strong interest in illustration and animation. I have recently dabbled in stop-motion, traditional and computer animation and could not be happier to finally be able to create what kept me going as a child.
INSPIRATIONS
Bill Watterson is my biggest inspiration for what I do. I grew up reading his comic, Calvin & Hobbes, and eventually collected every one of his publications before the end of high school. The both simplicity and complexity in his drawings, the humor he wove into the script, as well as the insinuations of certain strips that I would later understand are all the reasons why I have so much respect for the guy.
INFLUENCES
My family, my friends, my environment are all influences of mine. The things they say, what I hear and see around me all play a part in my creations.
HOPES
My hope is to become a successful designer/animator, collaborate with other artists, showcase my work in all mediums, and all the while be able to support my family doing what I love.

i like your picture, it seems like you're not afraid of getting a little scratched up :) I'm the youngest in my family also, hopefully I can get my designer act together because I want to be able to support them too.
ReplyDeleteI love how your vision/image is your knees being injured. That tells me that you strive to do the best work you can do even if it is challenging. Brings the best work out of you and your peers can and will see it. :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you find yourself some big bandades!! I loved your introduction and the background on your family. I have a lot of sisters too, so I understand that type of lifestyle.
ReplyDeleteStop-motion and animation is a dream field of mine as well. I love how hands on it is and Illustration is such great ability to have in this field. I've noticed so many posters, packaging, and even web design that combine the two.
ReplyDeleteAwesome photo too!
